The Leader: Lucia Vernon Long

Lucia trained as a singer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and went on to sing solo roles with opera companies such as Northern Ireland Opera. She now leads outreach projects for many opera companies, orchestras and music organisations.
She especially loves working with the very young, and has devised and directed ‘Little Lullabies’; an opera-based performance for babies with NI Opera which has been revived several times, and last year created and led ‘Opera Dots’; a new programme for the Royal Opera House for 0 - 5 year olds.
Lucia founded Mini Music Makers in 2012.

Reviews
“Mini Music Makers is the class that I look forward to taking my little one to each week. Lucia ensures that the class follows a pattern without being repetitive, introducing various songs, instruments, tools, and toys; the perfect blend of education, fun, and whimsy.”
Jennifer Yorke
“Lucia’s classes are the best music classes I’ve ever attended. She’s a professional musician and has the most beautiful voice. She engages well with all the children and makes a special effort to learn all of the children’s names.”
Gemma Khan
“Lucia is warm and welcoming, and really captivates the babies and toddlers. Her original songs are really lovely. The classes are a wonderful way to meet fellow local parents with babies of a similar age. I can't recommend this class highly enough.”
